Excited to be partnering with Garnier Fructis again (last seen here), this time bringing you a sleek and straight look. When using a flat iron it’s really important to protect your hair with a heat protection spray, like this Sleek and Shine Flat Iron Perfecter by Garnier Fructis. Not only will this spray help protect your hair, it will also help keep it frizz free and straight with the help of argon oil (my absolute favorite). Check out my steps below on how to create a sleek and shine look that is quick and easy!
Since last year, laser cut-outs have been on my trend watch. I’m always on the hunt for fashion inspiration so when I recently spotted Beyoncé wearing this laser cut-out skirt I immediately went for it. Also, if you haven’t already be sure to sign up at LIKE to KNOW IT to shop my outfits and get my favorite picks directly sent to your inbox. It’s a great way to take advantage of all the leg work (and research) I do before buying something. Hope you’re having a great Monday!
You might remember, a few months back I attended (seen here) the grand opening of Blo in Dupont, which Whitney Port hosted. Last week I had the opportunity (and time) to visit Blo, which is only a block from where I live. I don’t think there is anything better than having a blow dry spot one block from your home, am I right? Not only are Blo hair stylists licensed hair dressers (ahem…some blow dry salons don’t require this) but they give amazing blow drys – just like my hair guru and best friend Mary Ann. If you live in the DC area be sure to give them a try, next time you’re in the mood for pampering yourself.

Stay tuned for outfit details later this week!
Note: A big thanks to the lovely ladies of Moki Media for this gifted blow out! The perfect evening of pampering.
Happy Friday lovely readers! Sorry for the radio silence. After a week an Asia it took nearly a week to be free of jet lag. If anyone is looking for some helpful jet lag tips, this link really helped! Ok…now on to the fun stuff — before we kick off the weekend I wanted to share my video with Garnier Fructis and Mode Media on how to create messy beach waves — without using any hot tools. You may remember a few month’s back I traveled to NYC to shoot this video and it was just released today. I’m a little camera shy, so please be gentle in your judgements:)
Greetings from Tokyo! It’s my first time in Tokyo and I can’t get enough of this place, which I refer to as the capital of cuteness. From friendly people to delicious food, Tokyo is unlike any place I have ever visited. Here are a few snapshots of breakfast with a view and a humid day packed with shopping around the city. More on my Tokyo trip later…now off to Bali to soak in much needed sun and ocean.
Military inspired silhouettes have always been a favorite of mine. From gold button details to tailored jackets it has given a modern look to military fashion. I purchased this Trouve jacket while in Chicago a few weeks back and have been wearing it pretty much every day since. It’s a great layering pieces and light enough to throw on over your summer attire. Be sure to check out more of my military inspired picks below. Hope you’re having a great week!
It’s time for my favorite sale of the year — the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! To get ready for fall I am all about investing in basic pieces that are versatile and comfortable. I have always been a huge fan of Theory, so I was beyond excited to find some of my favorite pieces on sale, especially this draped jacket with leather sleeves pictured below.
As I spend more and more time in LA, I just can’t get enough! The weather, the style, the food, it has pretty much become my second home and I am fully embracing it with open arms. As of late, I have my daily LA routine down, my go-to LA spots down (more on a guide to LA later), and now my LA uniform down — consisting of some distressed denim (LOVE these), comfy heels, and a basic top.
